SUPERBOWL COMMERCIALS 2011

The Superbowl is one of the only instances that I can think of where the viewers are seemingly just as excited about the commercials as they are about the game. Overall I felt as though the commercials were lacking this year... of course there are few exceptions.

The Force | Volkeswagen Commercial
Yes. This commercial has already been talked about online pretty much everywhere already, but that is because it's awesome. How many target demographics can you hit and emotions can you trigger with one commercial? This was one of my favourites of the evening.

Justin Bieber, Ozzy Osbourne | Best Buy Commercial
In reality I wouldn't say that this commercial is all that good; however,  kudos on Biebs for publically making fun of himself during the Superbowl in front of millions and millions of people. That is one way to try and change your image, I guess.

Imported from Detroit | Eminem and Chrysler
Quick side note: I counted 2 Eminem commercials during last night's game, come back? sell out? I am not sure but regardless I think he did a pretty good job. This commercial made the list because the video was well put together and it managed to keep my interest until the end. The car isn't looking to bad either.

Release the Hounds | Audi Commercial
Speaking of good looking cars, hello beautiful. This commecial is a little over the top but I like where it is going... not to mention my deep obsession with owning one of these. Why? Why not! Also: "Hit em with the Kenny G".

21 Century Beetle | Volkswagen Commercial
All I have to say is that I can't wait to see what these are {actually} going to look like.
Well done commercial, I am interested.

Grampa? | Doritos Commercial
These guys went to town... there were so many Doriotos commercials on during last night's game that I can't really distinguish between them all. I believe another way to put it would be "overkill," but that's just me. I watched the game with four guys, they all burst into laughter by the end of most of them... overall I wasn't a huge fan but this one made me chuckle. (Oh, and I hated this one but it got a lot of sm attention).

On a completely different note I just wanted to add-- why would a company ever block it's youtube video embed codes? Ya, that is backwards.
